I am Katrina Morrison I was born August 25, 1970 in Rock Island, Illinois. I currently live and work in Bishop Hill. I have a studio art gallery called Garden Thyme where I teach art classes and show and sell my artwork. I am a printmaker and mixed media artist. I am known for my Linocut prints and mixed media paintings.

My black and white linocut prints tell an ongoing story of my life and my relationship to Mother Earth. These images are myself in different stages of my life. My mixed media paintings are a diary of the memories of how I was feeling as I was traveling. Recording what I loved about each place but in an abstracted way.

I graduated from Bradley University in 1993 with a BFA studying printmaking, painting and drawing. I formed the Aledo Art Guild in 2000, teaching art classes and displaying art in the community. In 2002 and 2003 I was an Artist for the Metro Arts program for the Quad City Arts. Recently I have received an Honorable Mention award at the Buchanan Art Center for my monoprint “Her Flowers” in the Art for the HeARTland exhibition, and received Newcomer Award for my painting “Lost in the Garden” at the Galesburg Community Arts Center Members and Friends exhibition. in 2024 my print “Mother” was selected for the 64Arts National juried exhibition at the Buchanan Art Center. In 2025 my print “Mother Earth” was exhibited in the 39th Bradley International Print and Drawing Exhibition. I had two paintings “Florence Italy” and “Chianti Region in Tuscany” chosen for the 64ARTS national exhibition, in which the painting “Chianti Region in Tuscany” won first place for Works on Paper. And my painting “Tenuta di Sticciano” received first place in the Hot Ciao XII members show for the Contemporary Arts Center of Peoria. In 2026 I had a solo exhibition in the Second Avenue Gallery at the Quad City Arts.
